Policy Summary/Purpose:
The purpose of the Student Fellowship Policy is to define the concept of an
Educational Student Fellowship at the University of Mississippi (UM) (a UM
Educational Student Fellowship), to establish clearly how such fellows can be p
aid
and supported, and to distinguish such fellowships from other arrangements that
may involve the term “fellowship.” This policy is also intended to satisfy the
“fellowships” portion of the IHL Bylaws requirement that each IHL “adopt polici
es
to administer the Assistantship and Fellowship programs” that define how we awa
rd
“Fellowships to students enrolled full-time in graduate degree programs.”
